ONC Announces Consumer Health IT Summit on 9/15/2014

This week the ONC Health IT newsletter announced the date for their Consumer Health IT Summit. Here is the newsletter item:

Health IT Consumer Summit 9/15

That calendar you picked up from the Chinese diner around the corner now reads August 1 and the kids will soon be packing up and heading back to school (Yay!). As fall creeps ever closer, don’t forget to save the date for the Health IT Consumer Summit, which this year will be Sept. 15. We hope to make some brand new friends and help clinicians and patients learn about the benefits of the #BlueButton initiative and the #MUS2 view, download and transmit criteria.

You can sign up for the newsletter here.

I am marking the date and aim to attend. Hopefully the ONC will release further details soon such as: Where the event is being held (presumably at the Department of Health and Human Services, 200 Independence Ave SW, Washington DC) and how we sign up to attend. I couldn’t find any mention of the event on the ONC web site in general or in the newsroom area in particular.
