Gridlock in LA is a great reason for connected providers and video visits.

in 2015 UCLA will embed Video visits in to the EMR. Patients are becoming more comfortable with their devices.

11 specialities are conducting Video Visits and Consults.

Endocronology – using Video visits for post-op care. A quick Video consult is more efficient than patients having to travel.
It also improves provider efficiency and frees up space.

Psychiatry with the military is popular.

In house built survey tool for depression screening. Feeds data and interpretation to the provider.

Planned Parenthood Direct – Confidential mobile STD Testing and Treatment.

New to the area of teleservices.

700 health centers and 61 affiliates across the USA.
2014: 10.6Mservices to 2.7M patients (approx. 5M visits)

An estimated 84% of millennials want mobile health care

New contraceptive methods are leading to declining visit volumes.
