What AIM knows by being Open

There are currently 14M simultaneous users on AIM. AIM can track the popularity of TV shows based on usage peaks.
What AIM doesn't know:
  • How consumers want to interact with AIM
  • What they want to talk about
  • What platforms and devices will be used
  • What kind of data will be exchanged
AOL recently launched OpenAIM 2.0.
  • All restrictions were removed. 
  • OpenAIM moved gradually and gathered user experience as feedback.
  • Stayed true to Openness and provide choice.
  • Worked to unlock value for users and developers - including revenue sharing.
