The Business Case for Health 2.0

I think it makes more sense to follow the Tweets coming from the #Health2con tag on Twitter.

Pfizer has a relationship with Sermo and see this as a way to communicate with physicians.

Ken Schactmut, VP of Health Re-Engineering at Safeway has some interesting comments on the state of Health Care. Safeway is interestedin this because they spend over $1Bn on employee Health Care costs. The system is fractured because services are performed on members, recommended by physicians and paid for mainly be employers. This creates a situation where there is no incentive to change.

DestinationRx is used by Safeway to drive the selection of lower cost generic drugs through transparency of information.

DestinationRx is working with PharmaSURVEYOR in an open sharing of prescription data, as noted in yesterday's blog as part of the Health 2.0 Accelerator.
