Social Media Strategies

How do you develop effective social media strategies for specific industries.

What are you trying to do? Who are you trying to reach? What messages are you trying to get across?

It's not about communicating over specific platforms. It is about creating content that others can re-publish. eg. Post pictures of your location that others can publish on their blog, twitter stream etc.

Strike a balance with a big respect for privacy.

The traditional media is not working. Tap your relationships to keep them informed on news that might be relevant.

Qualification tools are appearing that use social platforms to determine people's net worth.

- Blog, Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, MySpace, Flickr, Del.icio.us
