Beyond the promise of precision medicine

Getting beyond the hype.

Cancer diagnosis has a long history of being patient-based.

Bioinformatics and genomics are developing faster than medicine can adapt to embrace it.

Cancer clinical trials are not a last resort for patients but are often first line therapy.

Next generation sequencing: now genomic sequencing makes every patient different. Healthcare needs to move to precise molecular oncology. This is really hard with many samples to review to develop approaches.

The challenge is to apy the data to create new insights.
