1/3 of us population suffer from 1 or more chronic diseases.

Jan 2015 MHealth reimbursement – Medicare will pay for non face-to-face chronic care management.

3 core requirements:
1. Secure eligible beneficiary’s written consent
2. 5 specified capabilities
3. 20+ minutes per month on chronic care management

Licensing issues keep cropping up. This needs to be solved at the state level.

Except AK and HI demo applications store and forward is not approved the push is for interactive video services.

Clinician to clinician consultations are not reimbursable.
