Busy Week next week. #WHCC and HealthCampDC (#hcdc10) @carefirst

Next week is a busy week for me. On Sunday it is the Return Instructor's Meeting at Liberty Mountain. Yes - Ski season is nearly here again. Time to get toned up....

Next week - Sunday to Wednesday I am taking part in the World Health Congress Conference: World HealthCare Innovation and Technology Congress.

I will be presenting on Health Plan Innovation in a post reform world as well as blogging from the conference. Watch out for reports appearing on this blog next week.

Later in the week I am running HealthCampDC on Friday 12th November. The event is attracting a lot of interest. There is still an opportunity to join in the latest Un-conference in the world-wide HealthCamp series of events. Go to http://bit.ly/hcdc10site. It is not too late to register and there will be a select group of attendees and some fascinating discussions primed to take place. Thanks have to go to our sponsors who have made the event possible:

CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield are the foundation sponsor. The event takes place at their DC Headquarters. CareFirst have been busy working on a new product, HealthyBlue, and a new initiative with their Provider network: PCMH - Primary Care Medical Home. It will be very interesting to see how these two initiatives come together to promote patient-physician engagement in better health outcomes. CareFirst's network team has done a great job supporting this event, even laying on Wi-Fi with access to social media to make it easy for participants to tweet, blog and video stream form HealthCampDC.

The Innovator Sponsor is Cybercise. I am intrigued to learn more about Cybercise's Move.Eat.Be. program. How do they help us fit more exercise in to our busy lives?

HealthCentral is also a HealthCamp supporter for HealthCampDC. HealthCentral are doing some innovative things using technology licensed from our very own local institution: Johns Hopkins University. Their beta Mood247 site helps deal with depression. I want to know more about how they have used simple text messaging to help patients.

YourNurseIsOn is once again sponsoring HealthCamp. Matthew Browning's site has an innovative platform for managing Medical Staffing. We deeply appreciate the support that YourNurseIsOn has shown to numerous HealthCamp events.

We also have a number of experts from all across the health care spectrum planning to attend. People like Regina Holliday, Meredith Gould, , Susannah Fox, Ted Eytan, Alan Viars (who's company Videntity recently won a prize at the Health 2.0 Developer's Challenge.) You can join in. It will be one of the most vibrant sessions you can attend in the world of HealthCare-related events. It's a chance to pick the brains of some of the brightest and innovative minds in Healthcare.

If you haven't got your ticket yet, head over to http://bit.ly/hcdc10site and register. Do it now! You won't regret it!
