The evolution of health Information Technology capabilities and data infrastructure will be necessary for scaling alternative payment models. This session will provide an overview of the future health Information Technology needs, the role of MACRA and near-term opportunities for providers and vendors.

30% Alternative Payment Models ahead of schedule in 2016 – 1 year early.

CMS will continue to test new models.

All merge in to MIPS Composite Performance Score (CPS)

Payment = 50% Quality, 25% Advancing Care Information, 15% Clinical Practice Improvements, 10% cost

5% Lump sum bonus is separate from MIPS

Financial Rewards ar based on +/- 4% rising to +/-9%

Advanced APMs must use certified technology.
